not a Van Gogh," I told Miss Featherduster. "Look closely. Van
Gogh painted quickly. He used lots of thick paint. Sometimes he didn't even
mix the colors. He didn't smooth out his brushstrokes because he liked the
way they revealed the colors and his feelings about the scene."
