Who lives in the Amazon?

Conquistadors? No, that's not right.

Conquistadors were Spanish soldiers who explored and conquered Latin America over 400 years ago. Conquistadors like Francisco de Orellana wore long clothing and heavy armor. They explored hot places like the Amazon in search of gold and silver to take back to the King of Spain. They had little interest in living there. Most either died on their explorations or returned to Spain to retire.
